The American militairy base in Guantánamo Bay could be seen from the lookout tower

If you drive to Baracoa from Guantanamo, after about 25km you will see the following sign on the right side of the road

Here you must immediately turn left and you end up at

a restaurant with a watchtower

It`s also the only restaurant along the way between Santiago de Cuba and Baracoa

(a route of 250km)

Guantánamo Bay (Spanish: Bahía de Guantánamo) is a bay located in Guantánamo Province at the southeastern end of Cuba

It is the largest harbor on the south side of the island and it is surrounded by steep hills which create an enclave that is cut off from its immediate hinterland
