Reconstruction of an Indian village on island Guama in Laguna del Tesoro

The boat leaves from the Zapata peninsula at the crocodile farm

The Laguna del Tesoro is a lake of 92 km2

It owes its name (tesoro = wealth) to a treasure that the Indians would have thrown in the lake by arrival of the Spaniards

In the Laguna are twelve islands with a hotel and an Indian museum

You can also visit the lagoon if you aren't staying at the hotel

On the "Indian Island" you will find Indian statues and huts

In a cabin an "Indian" was standing with a shell at the exit

Personally, I found this island terribly fake but I have enjoyed all the unusual birds and beautiful scenery and the boat ride was very nice
