The 180 meter long mural "Mural de la Prehistoria" was painted in 1961 on the western flank of the Mogote Dos Hermanas and can be
found in the Valley of Vinales
It was commissioned by Fidel Castro and painted by Leovigildo Gonzalez
Morillo with the help of local residents
The mural should recall the long
development of the landscape, the nature and history of the inhabitants of this
region
You can climb up for a view of the tobacco fields or enjoy
a suckling pig
in the restaurant
