On a
corner of the Plaza Vieja, in Old Havana, you can find the "Camara Oscura"
which is located on the top floor of the Gómez Vila building from the beginning
of the twentieth century
The Camera Obscura is a gift of Cadiz in Spain
It`s the only one in Latin America and the Caribbean and is
one of 74 worldwide
You can watch the outside world indoors without anyone noticing
On the roof terrace you have a nice view on the Plaza Vieja and Havana
A camera obscura (Latin for dark room) is a darkened room in which a small hole is made with a lens
The incident light casts an image of the outside world on the hollow dish
The outside world is upside depicted
Before the photosensitive plate was discovered (around 1800) the camera obscura was a fairground attraction
