Capitolio Nacional you see everywhere in Havana

In the center of Old Havana is the Capitolio Nacional,
built between 1926 and 1929

The huge dome was inspired by the Pantheon, St. Peter's and
the Capitol in Washington

It was formerly used as government building but is now used by the
Academy of Sciences

Along the granite stairs are bronze statues of Angelo Sanelli

Left the "Virtue" and the right "Progress through labor"

The Capitolio is very beautiful but unfortunately it was renovated when we visited it

In many places in Havana you can see the Capitolio
